What to expect & all about the procedure & process of a custom airbrush tan.

When you are nearing your treatment
Please Make Sure: you book all pedicures, manicures, waxing, facials, and massages before your airbrush appointment as these services can affect your airbrush tan. If you plan on doing these services on same day or within a few days of each other please book airbrush last in line. Massages are ok day after airbrush once you have showered.

No, Bronze Biologic tans each client to their natural tan color. Our tanning solution does not contain the chemicals and dyes that many tanning companies have added into their spray's. These chemicals and dyes are the source of the off color that you can sometimes see with other sprays; not with ours. Bronze Biologic's proprietary formulas were created with natural ingredients to create a beautiful warm bronzen glow for every client

The ingredient that tans your skin is dihydroxyacetone (DHA), a color less sugar that interacts with dead skin cells to create the tanned color. The DHA causes a chemical reaction with the proteins in the outer most layers of the skin, which causes the color of the skin to change, producing a beautiful natural tan .

A spray tan does not dye the skin ; the immediate color you see when your tan is applied is a color guide or bronzer that helps the technician not miss any sections and allows you to instantly see your tan. The DHA starts to react with the skin within 1 hours of the tan application and continues to do so for a total of 8 hours.
A spray gun is used to spray a combination of air and tanning solution directly onto the skin, which dries almost immediately. In less than 15 minutes you can have a flawless tan that will develop over the next 4 to 82 hours.

No. There is nothing in the tanning solution that will cause more freckles to appear. In fact, in most cases, freckles and blemishes will become less pronounced because the lighter skin areas will darken and reduce the color differentiation between the blemishes and the rest of the skin.

There are a number of factors that affect how long a tan will last. Preparation and aftercare are very important if you want to extend the life of your tan. This means exfoliating before hand and moisturizing afterwards. Depending on your skin type and how each solution reacts with your skin your tan can last any where from 5-10 days on average.

To give your spray tan enough time to fully develop, it is recommended waiting a minimum of 6 hours after tanning (unless otherwise instructed). Showering sooner may diminish the intensity of the tan.

No, although your skin looks like it is well protected spray tans do present the body from being burnt. It is very important to remember to always use a sunscreen with SPF to prevent sun damage

For the maximum result, before your session, shower and exfoliate the skin. Make sure your skin is free of perfumes, lotions, oils, deodorants, gels or any product on the skin that would create a barrier or cause the tan to develop unevenly and remove all jewelry.

You may wear whatever you feel comfortable in, whether you wear nothing, underwear, a g-string or your swimming suit is completely up to you. You may also want to take into account clothing that you will be wearing over the next few days. For example if you are getting a tan for and want to wear a bra, then think about the style of dress you will be wearing such as a strapless dress in this circumstance if you want to wear a bra we would recommend a strapless bra to avoid tan lines. Ensure any clothing that is worn immediately after the application of the tan is dark in color to prevent the risk of staining it. After your tan wear loose preferably cotton clothing

What are the benefits of getting a cosmetic tan applied professionally as opposed to DIY?

When you DIY it is not only hard to reach your back and the back of your legs, it is also hard to tell whether you have applied the lotion, cream or spray consistently. DIY options can be ok after many trials of turning orange from using products that react badly with your skin, getting streaky results and missing patches. our staffs has excellent product knowledge and are able to evenly and quickly apply a solution that will work well with your skin. At Oasis Day Spa we use the Less is more approach especially for first time tanners to prevent any tanning disasters, you can always make your tan darker but is hard to make a tan lighter or remove an orange color

What shoud you expect Directly after the treatment for the remainder of the day?

1. Make sure you are wearing loose dark clothing and if you are sprayed without a bra we recommend not putting it back on for remainder of the day to avoid lines. You will get cosmetic bronzers on your clothes, but they wash out of most fabrics. (Avoid silk, nylon & leather)
2. Do not panic, you will most likely look a little unnatural the first day when you are initially sprayed. Our bronzing color solution and will darken ontop of your sunless tan becoming darker. You may even think you look too dark, this is absolutely normal. After you shower (It's recommend that you wait at least 12 hrs or next day for best result) you will look terrific and have a natural Sunkissed tan.

3. Do not panic, again you may have some cosmetic bronzers that gather in creases of your skin like the neck or arm area, Again this is normal and after your first shower this will rinse off and leave you with all natural tan.
4. It is normal for you to feel sticky after your application. This will start to go away a few hours after your session. Some areas of your skin dry quicker than others making your tan looking uneven for that first day but after your 1st shower that will be gone and you'll have an even natural tan.
5. Avoid washing your hands, sweating, showering, applying lotions deodorant or makeup for at least 8 - 12 hours. If you have to use sanitizing foam or gel it's best to apply only on on palms of hands.

1. Keep length of showers short and use mild body wash. Do not stay in a hot shower or tub very long. Do not scrub or exfoliate your skin, just light cleansing is recommended. Pat skin lightly with a towel to dry.

2. It is important to use lotion and keep your skin hydrated, we highly recommend using a daily moisturizer both morning and evening for best results. Do not use any lotions that contain AHA, (alpha hydroxy acids). Many facial skin care products contain acids please check ingredients and use cautiously as they will fade your tan very quickly.

4. When you see your tan begin to fade then it's time to start exfoliating. We suggest that you soak your body for an extended amount of time in the tub, sauna, or jacuzzi. the goal is to soften the skin. It is best to use a washcloth or loofah. Scrub the body thoroughly in round circular motions. Continue to do so in the shower until your body complexion is even.
